Irsk aften med Løvstakken

Laurdag 18. august blir det konsert med bergensbandet Løvstakken. Dørene opnar klokka 18, konserten startar i ni-tida. Billett kr 150,- Baren er open.

“Løvstakken” is a folk music group from Bergen, Norway. It is named after one of the famous seven mountains surrounding the city.
Founded as early as 1974, the band originally played blue grass music and among others featured banjo player Bruce Hackett from Nashville.
Over the years the band gradually changed repertoire and is now doing mostly English/Scottish and Irish folk music.
Around 40 different musicians have been part of the band during this period, and the band has had an important influence on Bergen as being “roots music capital “ of Norway.
Today “Løvstakken” has the following members:
Benna Hauge : Guitars, mandolin, banjo
The band`s “founding father” and faithful member for 30 years
Per Halvorsen : Guitar, bass and lead vocal
He also plays with the group “Cato Sanden Band “
Stein Nilsen : Fiddle
On and off the band since 1976 – also a former member of the groups “Hole in the Wall” and “Cajun Gumbo”.
